After last weekend's visit to Atlanta to see Georgia Tech, reports began to surface on the chance Vanderbilt may lose this crucial piece of their 2016 class to Paul Johnson and his staff. This past weekend, Adams spent time in Nashville with many fellow commits and a few key targets left remaining.
Late Sunday evening, rumors started to swirl on social media that Adams had made his final decision. Unfortunately for Vanderbilt fans, this was true. According to Kelly Quinlan of Rivals, Adams has ended his recruitment and flipped to Georgia Tech.

Adams was rated as a three-star defensive tackle, and a top-fifteen player in the state of Tennessee according to 247Sports.
This leaves Vanderbilt in a tough spot so close to National Signing Day, but I expect this to open up a key scholarship available at this point that could really help this class in the next ten days. AoG will have more on a busy official visit weekend, as well as some targets who could emerge from this decommitment tomorrow afternoon.
