Vandy Football Recruiting: Future 'Dores Hit the Field

As the season is exactly one week away, today we look at two of our commits, and where you can catch their games this weekend.

Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

We are now less than one week away from the kickoff of the 2015 season against WKU! While the 'Dores may be ready to hit the field for the first time in 2015, several future Commodores have already hit the field as they begin their final high school seasons before coming to Nashville. Over the course of the season, we will see several of them in the national spotlight, including two this weekend. Today, we'll focus on those two commits and where you can watch them this weekend.

Deuce Wallace

Deuce Wallace is playing his senior season at Sevier County HS, who is currently 1-0. Wallace completed 17 of his 32 passes in his first game for 160 yards and added 15 more on the ground. He played defending state champion Knox West tonight, and you can watch the replay at rivalrythursday.com Wallace will also be featured on the same website week 6 against Oak Ridge.

Frank Coppet

Coppet plays for national power St. Thomas Aquinas HS, and his season begins this Friday at 8 pm Eastern time against Booker T. Washington HS on ESPN. This is part of their 2015 ESPN GEICO HS Football Kickoff. This matchup features two defending state champions; for people who love recruiting almost as much as they love football (like myself) it is a must watch. Coppet will have several opportunities to showcase his talents this fall on National TV, and I promise you the rising cornerback will not disappoint.

We'll have updates every Monday detailing the performances of each of our commits during the season. They'll include a variety of stats available from each game, as well as any recruiting news from the previous weekend such as visits, offers, and commitments. So stay tuned here at AoG - we have you covered as the high school football season gets underway! #AnchorDown
