At least the Coaches are watching the games...

Some mascots are a little more “furry” than others, huh?

Well, the Associated Press is too cowardly (or too busy not watching the games) to rank us, but the Coaches slotted us in at 24 while those bracketologists over at ESPN have us as an 8-seed. And over at Athletics, we didn’t get mistaken for Wazoo in the game preview, although typos do seem to work wonders for this team so I’m not sure if that’s good or bad yet. This week starts off with what should hopefully be an easy game against arguably the worst team in the conference, Kentucky, whose win over Arkansas came as a shock to me before I realized Arkansas went 4-27 from 3. Ouch. As for Kentucky, they just lost bad to Tennessee while we were busy winning. From the ESPN game preview, Vanderbilt is 11-0 when scoring at least 70 while Kentucky allows an average of 71 per game. Also, Kentucky averages the lowest number of rebounds per game in the SEC at 34 (compared to our 40). Yikes for the Wildcats. Hopefully tonight’s game will give everyone an opportunity to breathe after a tough two games this past week.
