We are now 26 days away from Vanderbilt football’s season opener against Hawaii. 26 for the Commodores is defensive back BJ Anderson. The 6’1”, 195-pound sixth-year senior from Andalusia, Alabama, started 10 games last season and nine games in 2019 — and played in three games in between due to injuries. Last season, he had 32 tackles and two passes defensed.

Not a whole lot of news today — Vanderbilt track’s Beatrice Juskeviciute won gold in the heptathlon in the Lithuanian Outdoor Championships. You’re going to take that news update and like it. (No, I’m not actually sure what the heptathlon is, either.)

Soccer has a scrimmage next Monday, can we go ahead and get to the season so I actually have things to write about?
