That’s right, four weeks away.

Good morning.

Optional Musical Accompaniment

We are now 28 days — four weeks — away from Vanderbilt football’s season opener against Hawaii. 28 for the Commodores is running back Sedrick Alexander. The 5’9”, 199-pound freshman from Austin, Texas, rushed for 1982 yards and 28 touchdowns as a senior in high school.

Not really a whole lot to talk about today — just some post-practice media availability with the assistant coaches from Friday. The most notable thing is Joey Lynch answering a question about whether they’d use more three- or four-wide sets with Cole Spence out with a nonresponse about multiple offensive sets — but I think it’s pretty clear that that’s going to be the case because, frankly, the wide receiver room is just better than the tight end room right now, and it would be kind of silly to put a tight end out there all the time just to say you have one.
