Vanderbilt football: Key position battles to watch this spring

After three months off, Vanderbilt football officially returns on Tuesday for the start of spring practice. By far the top storyline: How will members of the highly regarded 2022 class look? While it is difficult for true freshmen to contribute at the SEC level, Vanderbilt will need that group to step up in its second season on campus if the team hopes to make a bowl game. Position battles generally go all the way up until a week or so before the season opener, and sometimes even into the season itself.
