College Gameday announced its guest picker for Saturday’s broadcast at Alabama, and it’s... Nate Bargatze? Wait, he’s not associated with Alabama, is he? No, the Nashville native and Vanderbilt fan is just off hosting Saturday Night Live and now he’s the guest picker on College Gameday. I guess they just said “well, we want Nate Bargatze on but we’re not going to Vanderbilt any time soon, so... sorry, Nate, you’re going to Tuscaloosa.”

Tyrin Lawrence is a second-team preseason All-SEC selection according to the conference’s coaches.

Celia-Belle Mohr advanced to the quarterfinals at the ITA National Fall Championship after beating #8 Anastasiya Komar of Oklahoma State on Thursday. The men’s doubles team lost in the Round of 16. Both tennis teams — aside from the players competing at ITA — are headed to Auburn this weekend.
