Good morning.
Optional Musical Accompaniment
It’s the final week of the regular season, or: the best possible time to still be having a quarterback competition. Clark Lea implied last night on the Commodore Hour that Vanderbilt may not be done with its quarterback competition (that notably didn’t really seem to be going on in fall camp, by the way):
Clark Lea was asked about the quarterback situation heading into #Tennessee:

"We feel like we have another opportunity to have the guys compete and see who best positions our team. We haven't been generating enough points."@949theFan @LEARFIELDAudio
Clark Lea is right that we haven’t been generating enough points; it’s also true that it’s only been a week since he said that Ken Seals gives us a chance to punt, so it seems that somewhere between last week and this somebody reminded the coaching staff that the objective is to score more points than the other team.
Women’s basketball improved to 5-0 on the season by blowing out Alabama State 88-42 yesterday. This game was never competitive, with Vanderbilt leading 22-5 midway through the first quarter and just building the lead from there. Sacha Washington led the team with 24 points, and the Commodores forced 25 turnovers. The women’s team (like the men’s team, oddly enough) travels to Las Vegas over Thanksgiving weekend for games against Northern Iowa and Iowa State.
