Well, it was closer than we expected, and much better than the last, uh, five times we faced Georgia, but Vanderbilt still lost 37-20 on Saturday, falling to 2-6 on the season and extending its losing streak to six. Vanderbilt had lost the last two meetings by a combined 117-0, so I’ll take that against the #1 team in the country. (Losing by the same margin to Kentucky and Missouri? Not so much.)

With the football team heading into a bye week, I’ll be starting some basketball stuff this week. Today, when I get around to it, the Statistical.

Vanderbilt’s Nathan Cox advanced to the singles quarterfinals at the ITA Ohio Valley Regional Championship. Women’s cross country finished 22nd at the XC23 Invitational in Charlottesville, Virginia.
