Today’s the last day of July, so we’re now 27 days from Vanderbilt football’s season opener at Hawaii. 27 for the Commodores is defensive back Gumbo Gaskins; the 6’1”, 190-pound true freshman from Atlanta enrolled in the spring after picking Vanderbilt over South Carolina, Missourah, Duke, and Atlanta.

For some reason there’s not a lot about Saturday’s practice, the second of fall camp. The main site has an article about Mike Wright being named QB1 and other than that? Well, VandySports has some videos from the press availability after practice.
