Bad Gambling Advice had a very Bad Gambling Advice week.

Last week: 8-8 ATS, 8-7-1 over/under

Bad Gambling Advice had a very Bad Gambling Advice week in Week 1. The gambling advice was neither good enough to actually win you money, nor bad enough that you can reliably fade it. Just a week where if you either followed or faded the picks, you lost money on the vig.

So what brings Week 2?

Alabama State at Auburn (11:00 AM CT, SEC Network)

Yeah, Alabama State is a bad FCS team, and if there’s one notable thing about Week 1 it’s that Auburn’s offense will put up points on bad teams.

Score Prediction: Auburn 63, Alabama State 3

Picks: Auburn -49.5, Over 60

South Carolina at East Carolina (11:00 AM CT, ESPN2)

South Carolina had an easy time in Week 1, but they were playing Eastern Illinois. Expected starting quarterback Luke Doty is supposedly back for this one. East Carolina is bad, but so is South Carolina. In a bad team versus bad team matchup, I go with the team that’s both (a) getting points and (b) playing at home.

Score Prediction: East Carolina 28, South Carolina 24.

Picks: East Carolina +2, Under 57

Pittsburgh at Tennessee (11:00 AM CT, ESPN)

The Johnny Majors Bowl! Of these two, Pitt looked fine in Week 1, albeit against a terrible team (UMass.) Tennessee did not look fine in Week 1, though they did win easily against a terrible team (Bowling Green.) This is gonna take a minute for Josh Heupel to figure out.

Score Prediction: Pittsburgh 31, Tennessee 21

Picks: Pittsburgh -3, Under 57

Florida at South Florida (12:00 PM CT, ABC)

Florida is going on the road to play South Florida, which is kind of brave of the Gators, who never seem to play nonconference road games against G5 teams... but then, South Florida was a 45-0 loser to NC State in Week 1 and appears to be very bad. Florida might have a quarterback controversy already with redshirt freshman Anthony Richardson looking good late against Florida Atlantic. Either way, they should win this easily.

Score Prediction: Florida 42, South Florida 7

Picks: Florida -29, Under 58

UAB at Georgia (2:30 PM CT, ESPN2)

I don’t really know what to think of Georgia’s offense. The offense scored three points against Clemson last week, which... Clemson, but also, three points is three points. It’s not scoring three points on ETSU by any stretch, but I’m at least raising an eyebrow. That gives me pause about a rather big line against a decent team. Georgia should win this one, easily, but I’m not thinking they’re gonna run it up on UAB.

Score Prediction: Georgia 31, UAB 7

Picks: UAB +24.5, Under 45

Texas A&M vs. Colorado (2:30 PM CT, FOX)

Yeah, no, I’m not betting on a team whose head coach is Karl Dorrell.

Score Prediction: Texas A&M 31, Colorado 10

Picks: Texas A&M -17, Under 50

Mercer at Alabama (3:00 PM CT, SEC Network)

Alabama can name whatever score they want.

Score Prediction: Alabama 66, Mercer 0

Picks: Alabama -54, Over 60.5

Texas at Arkansas (6:00 PM CT, ESPN)

Of these two teams, Texas looked fine in its opener against UL Lafayette. Arkansas struggled a bit with Rice before putting the Owls away late. I don’t like the Razorbacks’ odds of keeping this one within a touchdown, so I’m going with the Longhorns.

Score Prediction: Texas 38, Arkansas 21

Picks: Texas -7, Over 56

NC State at Mississippi State (6:00 PM CT, ESPN2)

As mentioned above, NC State beat South Florida 45-0 in its opener, handling a bad team exactly how you should. Mississippi State needed a late comeback to beat Louisiana Tech by a point, and Louisiana Tech isn’t all that good. That’s not going to fly on Saturday.

Score Prediction: NC State 35, Mississippi State 21

Picks: NC State -2.5, Over 55.5

Western Carolina at Oklahoma (6:00 PM CT, PPV)

See above comment on Alabama.

Score Prediction: Oklahoma 63, Western Carolina 7

Picks: Oklahoma -50.5, Over 64.5

Austin Peay at Ole Miss (6:30 PM CT, SEC Network+)

If the first game of the season is any indication, Ole Miss has a functional defense this year. Good enough to mostly shut down Austin Peay? Almost assuredly.

Score Prediction: Ole Miss 49, Austin Peay 7

Picks: Ole Miss -34.5, Under 69.5

Missouri at Kentucky (6:30 PM CT, SEC Network)

How big of a believer am I in Kentucky? The Wildcats looked good in their opener, albeit against UL Monroe. Missouri is probably fine, though they did let Central Michigan (pretty good for a MAC team) hang around for a long time. Missouri is catching five points, which seems like good value for a game where I think the teams are pretty evenly matched.

Score Prediction: Kentucky 24, Missouri 21

Picks: Missouri +5, Under 56.5

McNeese at LSU (7:00 PM CT, SEC Network+)

No, I don’t trust LSU to cover a big number, even against an FCS team.

Score Prediction: LSU 52, McNeese 17

Picks: McNeese +39, Over 67

Vanderbilt at Colorado State (9:00 PM CT, CBS Sports Network)

What do I think about Vanderbilt? Well, I think the Commodores are bad, but the line has been bet up to a silly level with a team that also lost to an FCS team in Week 1 giving 7 points now. Vanderbilt had better come out ready to play or I will be extremely angry.

Score Prediction: Colorado State 23, Vanderbilt 20

Picks: Vanderbilt +7, Under 50
