Good morning.

Optional Musical Accompaniment

We are now 2 days away from Vanderbilt football’s season opener against East Tennessee State. 2 for the Commodores is wide receiver Amir Abdur-Rahman. The 6’4”, 215-pound redshirt junior from Atlanta caught 27 passes for 406 yards last season with one touchdown. He was named Preseason All-SEC by Pro Football Focus... and second on the Vanderbilt depth chart.

Vanderbilt soccer is back in action tonight, hosting Southern Illinois at 7 PM CT at the Vanderbilt Soccer Complex. The Salukis are 0-2-1 and hopefully will allow Vanderbilt to stop a two-match losing streak. Tonight’s match will be on the SEC Network+.

Here’s an article about Vanderbilt’s special teams unit.
