2021 Staff Pick’em Week 3

Separation is starting to form, but a great or terrible week can still flip the standings on their head.

After a pair of weeks where no one did great or terrible, we finally got some big hits and misses. I got 7 of the 10 games right while Import and Tom only won with 3 and 2 picks, respectively. Stan, VU '04, CDA, and Paul were all at or within a game of even.

We again missed on the unanimous pick. The majority was right in the lone 6 to 1 game while the dissenters were right in 2 of the 3 5v2 games.

Week 3 has 12 games to pick. None of them were unanimous. Only 1 has 6 of us in agreement. Five of the matches have 5 of us on one side though. Personally, I am in the pair against the rest in 3 of those. It could be very interesting for the standings.

The Rules

  1. Normally, the picks are for all SEC games with one dealer’s choice where I get to choose another game to make us pick. With two new teams set to join in “2025” (Who wants to bet that timeline holds up?), Texas and Oklahoma will have all of their games picked, too.
  2. The picks will be made AGAINST THE SPREAD. Too many games are easy to pick heads up. Also, this will serve as a PSA for why you should not get into sports gambling, which is especially important with sports gambling being legal in Tennessee now.
  3. The lines will be taken from Oddshark’s consensus spread some time Monday, so they may not match what is listed at the time this article is published.
