We are now 30 days away from Vanderbilt football’s September 4 season opener against East Tennessee State — less than a month. There is no #30 on the roster at this time; last year’s #30, redshirt freshman defensive back De’Rickey Wright, is still on the roster but has yet to be assigned a number for this season.

Vanderbilt soccer, the first team to open the 2021-22 season, is ranked 18th in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll. The Commodores will play an exhibition game against Memphis on Sunday; DotP previewed the goalkeepers and defenders yesterday.

Baseball announced the hiring of Tyler Shewmaker as its new assistant coach yesterday. This is an extremely Anchor of Gold hire.

Shewmaker spent the past two seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Fighting Camels

Shewmaker has coached and assisted with recruiting student-athletes from all three NCAA divisions, NAIA and NJCAA.
