We are now 6 days away from Vanderbilt football’s season opener against East Tennessee State. 6 for the Commodores is running back Re’Mahn “The Hypothesis” Davis. The refugee from the Wet Hets rushed for 1,259 yards on 271 carries over his two seasons with Temple. I think he’s really a redshirt sophomore since he only played in four games in 2020. Anyway, pictured above is Anchor of Gold’s most famous Twitter follower.

Vanderbilt soccer hosts Duke today at 2 PM CT, with the game to be streamed on the SEC Network+. Duke is ranked #5 in the country so this should be a tough one; Vanderbilt is 1-1-1 after Thursday night’s overtime loss to Western Kentucky.

The football program picked up another commitment on Saturday from Jayden McGowan, a 5’9”, 170-pound athlete from Laurens, South Carolina. As Robbie Weinstein writes, he could be either a running back or a slot receiver at Vanderbilt.

McGowan is the 18th commitment in the Class of 2022, which is currently ranked 37th nationally in the 247 Sports composite.
