Good morning.
Optional Musical Accompaniment
(Yep, we’re going full teenage girl today.)
We are now 15 days away from Vanderbilt football’s September 4 season opener against East Tennessee State. 15 for the Commodores is defensive back Camden Coleman. The 6’1”, 215-pound redshirt junior from Champaign, Illinois, didn’t play high school football, but has appeared in 18 games over the last two seasons, mostly on special teams. The former walk-on was awarded a scholarship in the offseason.
Vanderbilt soccer opened its season last night and beat Tennessee Tech 1-0 in overtime, knocking off the Golden Eagles on Abi Brighton’s goal in the 97th minute.
GOLDEN GOAL!

The Commodores will play Purdue on Sunday. The Hustler also has a writeup on last night’s match.
There’s also an article about Vanderbilt’s basically brand new running back room, which returns Rocko Griffin (who had 37 carries last season) but otherwise consists of guys who weren’t in the program last season.
