We are now 24 days away from Vanderbilt football’s September 4 season opener against East Tennessee State. 24 for the Commodores this year is RB Rocko Griffin. The 5’9”, 203-pound sophomore from Rincon, Georgia, appeared in eight games in 2020 and had 37 carries for 92 yards. With Keyon Henry-Brooks and Ja’Veon Marlow gone, he figures to play a bigger role in 2021.

And apparently the news took a day off. The Little League team from Nolensville advanced to the Little League World Series wearing uniforms that look a hell of a lot like Vanderbilt’s gangster pajamas, and there’s a Vanderbilt connection here too: the son of Vanderbilt pitching coach Scott Brown plays for them.
