Good morning.
Optional Musical Accompaniment
We are now 86 days away from Vanderbilt football’s season opener against ETSU. 86 for the Commodores is tight end Ben Bresnahan. The 6’4”, 244-pound senior (really, redshirt junior) from Cumming, Georgia, started all nine games in the 2020 season and caught 28 passes, second on the team, for 300 yards. He also ranked second on the team with four touchdowns and, barring injury, figures to be the team’s starting tight end and a key piece on the offense in 2021.
Vanderbilt baseball’s Enrique Bradfield Jr., the nation’s leader with 46 stolen bases, was named a freshman All-American by Collegiate Baseball on Wednesday. Bradfield was previously named the SEC Freshman of the Year and first team All-SEC.
Robbie Weinstein had a blogger from East Carolina site Hoist the Colours on his blog for five questions ahead of this weekend’s super regional.
The university also provided an update on the $300 million Vandy United fundraising push, which seems to be going well.
Nothing else today, just getting ready for tomorrow’s super regional.
