Vanderbilt heads to the losers’ bracket at the SEC Tournament.

Good morning.

Optional Musical Accompaniment

Today is 99 days away from Vanderbilt football’s season opener against ETSU (which, by the way, we learned will start at 7 PM CT.) 99 for Vanderbilt is senior defensive lineman Malik Langham, who probably actually has three years left to play thanks to the COVID year and a redshirt season at Florida in 2018, but the Vanderbilt roster lists him as a senior. Langham is 6’5” and 290 pounds, and played in all nine games last season and registered seven tackles — a bit of a disappointment, but it was his first consistent action since the 2017 season at Lee High School in Huntsville. Langham played in two games at Florida his freshman year, then had to sit out 2019 after transferring to Vanderbilt.

Men’s golf opens the NCAA Championship today in Scottsdale, Arizona, after winning the Kingston Springs Regional last week. The Commodores will tee off their first round at 2:47 PM CT. Follow along the live scoring here.

And, the SEC Tournament continues today. Two elimination games today (which includes Vanderbilt unfortunately after the Commodores’ 6-4 loss to Arkansss last night) precede Saturday’s semifinals, where today’s winners will meet Florida and Arkansas, respectively. Today’s action has been pushed up thanks to the threat of bad weather.

  • 10:00 AM CT: (2) Tennessee vs. (10) Alabama
  • 1:30 PM CT (give or take): (5) Ole Miss vs. (4) Vanderbilt

No scoreboard today (and probably not for the next week) as I’m on the road. Have fun in your men’s golf and SEC Tournament shitposting thread.
