Vanderbilt’s Troy LaNeve walked it off with a two-run home run in the ninth inning to give the Commodores a 4-2 win over Kentucky in the first of a three-game series on Thursday night. Kumar Rocker went seven innings, struck out 11, and gave up just three hits, but didn’t get the win.
The other bad news is that with Arkansas and Tennessee both winning last night, Vanderbilt didn’t make up any ground in the standings. The Commodores and Wildcats will go at it again tonight at 6:30 PM CT, once again on the SEC Network+. More on last night’s game from the Hustler.
