Good morning.

Optional Musical Accompaniment

Well, yesterday wasn’t a great one for Vanderbilt fans.

We’ll start with the bowling team ending its season with back-to-back losses to Nebraska in the regional finals of the NCAA Championship. It was still a successful season, with the Commodores claiming a Southland Bowling League title, but it won’t end with the program’s third national championship.

And at the Hawk, Vanderbilt starter Kumar Rocker gave up a three-run homer in the first inning and the Commodores never got even, with things spiraling out of control in the late innings as Georgia claimed a 14-2 win over the Commodores. Blah. We’ll get them back tonight; game time is 6:30 PM CT on the SEC Network+.

And, women’s tennis dropped a 4-0 decision at Ole Miss. That’s not good either, and in case all that bad news weren’t enough, basketball got some bad news as well with redshirt freshman Issac McBride entering the transfer portal.

The football team will be having its second scrimmage of the spring tonight at 5:30 PM CT, with limited fan attendance allowed.
