Good morning.

Optional Musical Accompaniment

Ho-hum, just Kumar Rocker throwing a complete game in a 6-2 win over the #4 team in the country. Also, random fact, did you know my daughters were born on 11/7, during a football game against Mississippi State? Anyway, the Commodores and Bulldogs are back at it at 7 PM CT tonight at the Hawk on ESPNU.

Lacrosse got their hets wet on Friday. Men’s golf shot 4-over par on Friday at the SEC Championships, but that was good enough to earn them sixth place in the stroke play portion of the championship and a slot in the match play quarterfinals starting today.

Shea Ralph announced her coaching staff on Friday. In the “duh” category, Tom Garrick, former Vanderbilt associate head coach and current UMass-Lowell head coach, was announced; Garrick also happens to be Shea Ralph’s husband. Former Vanderbilt player Ashley Earley also rejoins the staff after previously being on staff from 2013-16. The third assistant will be Kevin DeMille, a former member of UConn’s staff who’s been at George Washington for the last five seasons. This seems like an all-around solid coaching staff.

And uh, Donovan Kaufman’s throwing shade at Vanderbilt.

“It’s mainly Auburn, Texas and FSU right now,” Kaufman said. “All of these schools love their ball. They have support. They take care of their athletes. I feel like these schools are all good fits for me and places I could thrive.”
