After an 0-9 campaign in the pandemic-influenced 2020 football season, Vanderbilt has a new head coach and, hopefully, a new outlook on life in 2021.
This is the first time in a while that I’ve actually been looking forward to the spring game, not because it’s suddenly not a spring game (and my thoughts on that have been made clear: it’s a glorified practice) but because I kind of want to see what new coach Clark Lea is going to do on both sides of the ball. There’s probably no outcome that will make me truly excited about the 2021 season (it is, after all, likely going to be a 4-8 season or worse) but 2022 and beyond? Sure, I can get excited about the Clark Lea era.
Anyway, this thing kicks off at 11 AM CT (so this should be over well in time for all of you to watch the baseball game.) Coverage is on the SEC Network+. Have fun, expect to win.
