So, the Vanderbilt Commodores close the 2020-21 regular season tonight on the road at the Pavilion at Ole Miss, where they’ll play the Ole Miss Rebels, whom they beat last Saturday by a 75-70 score at Memorial Gym.
That win came without the services of Dylan Disu or Scotty Pippen Jr. Disu is out for the season, but Scotty returned on Thursday night for a game scheduled on the fly at Cincinnati and promptly dropped 36 on the Bearcats in a 78-64 Vanderbilt win.
That leaves just this game between the Commodores and the SEC Tournament. As I’m typing this up, Texas A&M is beating Arkansas on the road and if the Aggies hang on to win, Vanderbilt will play South Carolina on Wednesday night; but, should Arkansas come back and win, Vanderbilt can avoid the Wednesday night game by beating Ole Miss tonight.
Have fun, expect to win, Anchor Down.
