No, I don’t know why we’re doing this, either.

Yep, this is happening, and nobody is really sure why.

The Cincinnati Bearcats had their Senior Night game against SMU called off due to COVID-19 issues within SMU’s program, so the Bearcats went looking for a replacement opponent and... apparently Vanderbilt decided that it wanted to end the regular season with three road games in a week. I mean I get why Cincinnati wanted this game, but I’m really just not sure why we looked at the schedule and said “you know what this needs, a Thursday night road game at Cincinnati in between trips to LSU and Ole Miss.”

Well, okay, Cincinnati is beatable, I guess. They’re 9-9 on the season and while they have two wins over an SEC team that for some reason they count as a conference game in the American Athletic Conference standings, the best team they’ve beaten is... SMU, back on January 7.

Okay, whatever, it’s basketball. Have fun, expect to win.
