Good morning.
Optional Musical Accompaniment
Vanderbilt didn’t have a single commitment in the 2022 recruiting class when Monday started. By the end of the day, it had three.
First up: linebacker Langston Patterson, from Christ Presbyterian Academy in Nashville.

Up next: another (probable) linebacker, B.J. Diakite, from Pinson Valley High School in Pinson, Alabama, the same place where we got Zach Cunningham.

And last: defensive end Linus Zunk, a native of Germany who now plays high school ball in Rabun Gap, Georgia.

Anyway, yesterday’s commitments now put Vanderbilt in 57th in the 247 Sports recruiting rankings — granted, that’s entirely because of Patterson, with the other two recruits currently being unranked (though I am guessing that will change.)
In other news, Vanderbilt pitcher Jack Leiter is unsurprisingly the SEC Pitcher of the Week. Vanderbilt baseball plays again tonight against Lipscomb at 6:30 PM CT on the SEC Network+; Andrew has your game thread coming later.
