Good morning.

Optional Musical Accompaniment

Vanderbilt basketball is closing in on the end of its season, and the Commodores will play their second-to-last game of the regular season tonight at 7:30 PM CT when they travel to LSU. The last time Vanderbilt saw Will Wade and his child-bearing hips, the Commodores came into the game with a 26-game losing streak against SEC teams and came out with a 99-90 win over a team that was 8-0 in the SEC at that point. This is a moment that was not hilarious, not at all.

BUT! Vanderbilt will now play three games this week. In the kind of only-during-a-global-pandemic thing that we’re slowly becoming used to, Vanderbilt and Cincinnati agreed to a game this Thursday that was announced on Monday. So, there’s that. Game time is 6 PM CT and it’ll be on ESPN+.

Women’s golf was in eighth place after the first day of the Gamecock Intercollegiate. The plan is apparently to play 36 holes and finish the tournament today thanks to the threat of bad weather on Wednesday.
