We begin with the most important event of the day. That’s right: it’s time for the Southland Bowling League Championship. Vanderbilt opens action today at 8:30 AM CT as the 3-seed in the event, which is being held at the Colonial Lanes in Harahan, Louisiana. The Commodores open with Tulane, because of course they do. Baseball opens SEC play today with the first game of a three-game series against South Carolina at the Hawk. Today’s game will start at 6:30 PM CT and will be streamed on SEC Network+. Andrew has your series preview coming later today.

Lacrosse opens AAC play today at Cincinnati at 3 PM CT. The Commodores will then turn around and play the Bearcats again on Sunday. Today’s game will be streamed on ESPN+.

Women’s golf is at the Liz Murphey Collegiate in Athens, Georgia, this weekend, with the first of three rounds starting today.

Football has its second of 15 spring practices today, and vucommodores.com has a notebook for the first practice of the spring (which was on Wednesday.)
