Anchor Drop, March 13, 2021: Doubleheader Today

Well, maybe. We still need some cooperation from the weather.

NCAA Baseball: College World Series-Michigan v Vanderbilt Steven Branscombe-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning.

Optional Musical Accompaniment

Well, last night’s series opener against Oklahoma State was postponed due to severe weather, meaning the Commodores and Cowboys will play a doubleheader today with the first game starting at 1 PM CT, and the second game going on at its originally scheduled time of 6 PM CT. Both games will be streamed on ESPN+. The bad news is that there’s still rain in the forecast in Stillwater today, though likely more of the “light drizzle” variety than the “thunderstorm” variety. So... maybe we’ll get two games in today?

The struggles of the men’s tennis team continued with yesterday’s 5-2 loss to Kentucky; the Commodores are now 4-8 on the season and 0-6 in the SEC. Women’s tennis had a match postponed against Texas A&M on February 20; that will now be made up next Saturday.

Jerry Stackhouse talked about next season, and Chris Lee and Seabass podcasted about whether the team can make the NCAA Tournament in 2022 (note that I haven’t listened to this one yet.)

And finally, I leave you with this:

Nature is healing.
