The Vanderbilt Commodores bought themselves a one-game extension of the 2020-21 season with a 79-68 win over the Texas A&M Aggies on Wednesday night, and now it’s a quick turnaround for an early afternoon game against the Florida Gators. (Tipoff time is approximate what with the game officially tipping off 25 minutes following the conclusion of the first game of the day between Kentucky and Mississippi State.)

Vanderbilt played Florida twice during the regular season, losing a 91-72 decision at Memorial Gym back on December 30 and then losing 78-71 in Gainesville on January 27. But the Commodores have been playing notably better over the month and a half since the second game against Florida, and so it’s not out of the question that they can steal a win today. Florida is pretty safely in the NCAA Tournament but might not want to risk a loss to the Commodores.

Have fun, expect to win, Anchor Down. Let’s see if the comments can come up with another win after the dominating performance last night.
