The Vanderbilt Commodores finally came up with their first SEC win of the season back on January 30, then couldn’t quite come up with a second straight win on Saturday at Georgia, putting the team’s record at 5-9 and 1-7 in the SEC.

Now, the Auburn Tigers come to town. Auburn imposed a postseason ban on itself for this season, a brave move in a season in which the Tigers sport a 10-10 record (4-7 in the SEC) and clearly weren’t going to make the tournament regardless. Auburn does have Sharife Cooper, a five-star recruit who suspiciously was not ruled eligible until 11 games into the season, a fact that I am sure is completely unrelated to Auburn’s self-imposed postseason ban. Cooper is currently averaging 20.3 ppg and 8.9 apg in nine games since becoming eligible, and Auburn fans will get to enjoy watching him for approximately eight more games before he inevitably declares for the NBA Draft.

Anyway, I got nothing else. Have fun, expect to win.
