Good morning.
Optional Musical Accompaniment
Today is National Signing Day, which in the era of the early signing period feels anti-climactic, but Vanderbilt will probably add a few players to the 2021 class today. As I’m writing this, Waycross (GA) LB Michael Mincey has already signed and it looks like Hoover (AL) RB Dylan Betts-Pauley has signed as well. Vanderbilt is also expected to get a Letter of Intent from Warren County ATH C.J. Taylor at noon. You can follow signing day here.
The basketball team was also supposed to play Texas A&M tonight, but that’s off thanks to COVID issues within Texas A&M’s program. (At least it’s not us this time!)
Vanderbilt football officially announced two additions to the coaching staff yesterday, new offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach David Raih and Joey Lynch as passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach. There are also rumors that Vanderbilt is going to hire Wyoming OL coach A.J. Blazek.
