Vanderbilt and Wright State are tentatively scheduled for a 6 PM first pitch to open the season.

Good morning.

Optional Musical Accompaniment

So, after two days of delays due to (I assume) snow piled up at the Hawk, Vanderbilt will finally, tentatively, maybe open its season tonight at 6 PM CT against Wright State, with (I assume) a doubleheader coming on Monday but no times have been announced yet. Hell, it hasn’t even been announced that they’re playing on Monday. Anyway it’s sort of annoying that they’re not committing to anything but assuming they do play, game’s on the SEC Network+ and the usual radio outlets.

Basketball was surprisingly competitive yesterday at Alabama in an 82-78 loss to the Tide, who are currently ranked 8th in the AP poll and in first place in the SEC.

Stuff going on today (aside from baseball, maybe): women’s golf opens the Lady Gators Invitational in Gainesville, lacrosse has its home opener against Colorado (streaming live at noon CT on YouTube), and men’s tennis hosts Texas A&M, also at noon (stream here.)
