Good morning.

Welp, we’re gonna have to wait a bit for baseball. The weather has pushed the season opener against Wright State — originally scheduled for Friday — back to Sunday, and I guess we’re going to try to play three games in two days? That’s resulted in Tuesday’s game against Western Kentucky being pushed back to Wednesday as well. So, no game today, but starting on Sunday Vanderbilt will play eight baseball games in eight days.
And that’s not the only delay, either: soccer’s exhibition game against MTSU has been pushed to Monday, while women’s tennis saw its SEC opener at Texas A&M postponed due to COVID-19 in the Aggies’ program.
Men’s tennis lost its SEC opener 4-1 against LSU, in spite of winning five of six first sets in singles play.
Basketball travels to Alabama today, with tipoff at noon CT on the SEC Network. Like football season, Alabama is in first place in the SEC and I am sure this will go very well. Then again, Vanderbilt did win last season’s meeting at Coleman Coliseum, somehow.
