Tuesday Night Open Thread: AL Wild Card Game

Hey, why not do MLB playoffs open threads again.

Last year, while COVID was going full-blast and there was no vaccine, Anchor of Gold started having open threads for the MLB playoffs because... well, because we were kind of bored. Also, technically, to keep up with former VandyBoys.

Anyway, we’re going to keep doing that this year. Tonight: the AL Wild Card game! Yankees! Red Sox!

The bad news, of course, is that one of these teams has to win. The good news is that one of them has to lose. Game’s at 7:00 on ESPN. And the wild card game is a one-off, so the winner faces Tampa Bay on Thursday.

Former VandyBoys in this game: None that I can see. You see that, Yankees and Red Sox? This is why you’re in the Wild Card game.

Anyway, enjoy the game, enjoy your Tuesday night open thread everybody. I’ll be around, probably as soon as the babies are in bed.
