The Vanderbilt Commodores take on the South Carolina Gamecocks on October 16, and since the SEC Network’s launch, the network has frequently stuck its least attractive games in the 3 PM time slot opposite the CBS game. So that, of course, is where Vanderbilt-South Carolina goes, because why wouldn’t it?

It only feels like this is a 3 PM game every year. (It’s only a 3 PM game when it’s not a Thursday night game. Thursday night games against South Carolina, by the way, should make a comeback.)
In other news, wait, LSU is playing a home game at 11 AM? Yeah, that’s right: CBS is electing to televise a morning game and it will either be Florida at LSU or Auburn at Arkansas. The 2:30 CBS game is Kentucky-Georgia, which is something that will come as a shock to longtime fans of the SEC. Alabama-Mississippi State and Ole Miss-Tennessee are the night games.
