A terrible group effort in Week 5 rebounded in Week 6. Overall, the staff went 32-28 with the major miss being Alabama-A&M. CDA charged into a tie with me for the lead by going 9-1. Import also had a big Saturday at 7-3, but he is still dead last. Andrew and I both went 4-6 to keep a one-game gap between us. Paul came out ahead at 6-4 while Tom at least went even at 5-5. Stan’s descent continued with a 3-7 to follow last week’s 1-9.

Beyond Alabama losing outright to A&M, the other big loss was Arkansas covering against Ole Miss, which only Stan and CDA predicted. Otherwise, it was mostly a matter of the game picks being split so evenly. The only 3 games with more than 4 correct picks were LSU-Kentucky (all but Stan and VU 04), Georgia-Auburn (all but Paul and I), and Rhodes-Sewanee (everybody).

Of the ten games, two were picked unanimously. We all think Bama is going on a revenge tour starting with Mississippi State and are hoping Vanderbilt keeps it under 3 scores (18.5 to be exact) at South Carolina. CDA went against the herd by taking LSU to lose by less than 10 to Florida. Likewise, Paul stands alone in expecting Missouri to keep A&M within 9. The only other game not split 4-3 is BYU-Baylor where Stan and Tom are taking Baylor and giving the 6 points.

1. Normally, the picks are for all SEC games with one dealer’s choice where I get to choose another game to make us pick. With two new teams set to join in “2025” (Who wants to bet that timeline holds up?), Texas and Oklahoma will have all of their games picked, too.
2. The picks will be made AGAINST THE SPREAD. Too many games are easy to pick heads up. Also, this will serve as a PSA for why you should not get into sports gambling, which is especially important with sports gambling being legal in Tennessee now.
3. The lines will be taken from Oddshark’s consensus spread some time Monday, so they may not match what is listed at the time this article is published.
