Vanderbilt to play Tennessee twice next week

Well, this is interesting.

Thanks to COVID-19 protocols being enforced at both South Carolina and Missouri, Vanderbilt’s game against Missouri and Tennessee’s game with South Carolina, both scheduled for Tuesday night, have been postponed — and now, the Commodores and Volunteers will play each other at 6 PM CT on Tuesday night at Memorial Gym. That game will be televised on ESPN2. This game was originally scheduled for February 24, but now will be moved up; no word on when the Missouri game will be played. (Also, what is it with our Missouri and Tennessee games and COVID? Can we play either of them as scheduled or no?)

Now, what makes this interesting is that Vanderbilt and Tennessee were already scheduled to play each other next Saturday in Knoxville, and that game is still on. So now, Vanderbilt and Tennessee will play each other twice in a week.
