So, a few days after the Vanderbilt Commodores suffered another COVID cancellation... uh, we’re back?

That’s right: Vanderbilt’s COVID pause lasted all of one game. Jerry Stackhouse mentioned yesterday at his media availability that a player tested positive earlier in the week, and I guess everyone else is fine. I suppose we’ll find out which player tested positive when said player is not in the building tonight.

Anyway, Vanderbilt is in the land of Sunsphere and Vocokyteps tonight to play the Tennessee Volunteers, 9-1 on the season and winners of their last two after taking their first loss of the season to Alabama on January 2. Tennessee is one of those teams that doesn’t have a single star player — the leading scorer, Victor Bailey Jr., averages 12.4 ppg — but seemingly everybody in the rotation is good, with four players averaging in double figures. They’re 3rd in the country in scoring defense and 2nd in defensive efficiency, and they lead the country in block percentage.

In other words, this one’s gonna be difficult. Have fun, expect to win.
