It seems to be a requirement that Vanderbilt sign at least one player from South Florida football powerhouse St. Thomas Aquinas in every recruiting class and, well, Quincy Skinner is just one of three in the 2021 class.
Skinner is the second-highest ranked player in Vanderbilt’s recruiting class in the 247 Sports composite, and that measure isn’t as high on him as the Rivals ranking, which gives him a four-star rating. On film, he doesn’t look exceptionally big or fast, but he does show good hands and skill as a receiver, running good routes and also having some plays where he’s just a blocker make it onto film. That’s a skill set that could play down the road at Vanderbilt, though the Commodores do return their top two receivers from 2020.
