Good morning.

Optional Musical Accompaniment

Well, we always hate losing to Tennessee, as Vanderbilt soccer did on Sunday. 1-0 was the final in overtime.

That’s about it for substantive news this Monday morning. Simon Gibbs at the Hustler has his weekly Commodore Brunch column up reviewing Saturday’s game.

The Commodores showed resolve in a close, 17-12 loss to the Aggies. The new coordinators were excellent. The defense was as tough as nails. The quarterback was as polished as a four-year starter. And while this team is trained to take no moral victories (someone should probably tell that to the athletics’ social media team, who seemed quite content with a loss), there were plenty of positive takeaways from this contest.

Well. I mean. The athletics’ social media team seeming quite content with a loss seems like a natural result of Kirkland taking over the athletics’ social media accounts amirite? Chad Bishop also has thoughts.

Meantime Texas A&M dropped three spots in the AP poll for that turd of a performance that somehow didn’t result in a loss.
