On Tuesday, the SEC provided a clearer picture of Vanderbilt’s 2020 football schedule with the announcement of game times and television coverage for five games — a break from the traditional model of waiting until a week or two before the game to announce the schedule. The remaining five games will hew to the typical six-day or twelve-day window for television network announcements.
Vanderbilt will open its season on September 26 at Texas A&M; that game will be televised on the SEC Network at 6:30 PM CT. A week later, on October 3, Vanderbilt will host LSU, likewise slated for a 6:30 PM kickoff on the SEC Network.
Another 6:30 PM kickoff is coming on October 17, in Columbia, Missouri, where the Commodores will face the Missouri Tigers. The Commodores will then play the Mississippi schools, both with 3 PM CT kickoffs: Ole Miss at home on October 31, followed by Mississippi State in Starkville on November 7; all three games will be televised on the SEC Network.
That leaves five games to be determined: October 10 vs. South Carolina in Nashville; November 14 at Kentucky; November 21 vs. Florida; November 28 vs. Tennessee; and December 5 at Georgia.
