Today’s Featured Game

Cin City Reds vs. St. Louis Cardinals—7:15pm MLB.TV

Sonny Gray on the mound. He’s having a Cy Young caliber start to the season (4-1, 2.05 ERA) except for the fact that his teammate, Trevor Bauer, has been even better (3-0, 0.68 ERA). With a 1-2 punch that fantastic, it’s a marvel that the Reds are under .500. On the offensive side of things, Curt Casali had a dinger in the 6th inning of their 5-0 win over the Royals last night.

Both teams have had Covid positive players since the start of the season. It bears reminding.

Oh, and in “Career Ending Hot Mic Moments...”

Most of me accepts that it is correct for Brennamann to not be on the air, but like 10% of me is tuning in to see what he has to say about St. Louis. Yes, I am a fan of the show Brockmire, mother.

Other Games Featuring Former Dores

De2roit Tigers vs. Chicago White Stockings—1:00pm ESPN2

The Stockings go for the four game sweep today (quick reminder that De2roit is not good, as they have picked 1st in the draft two years in a row). Fulmer did not pitch last night.

Cleveland vs. Pittsburgh—6:05pm MLB.TV

Reynolds went 0-3 as the Buccos lost to the Tribe 6-1. Reynolds is still significantly below the Mendoza line at the season’s 13 point.

Arizona D-Bags vs. Oakland A’s—8:40pm CT MLB.TV

Oakland’s losing streak ends at 2 games, as they beat the D-Bags 4-1. Kemp went 0-4 in this one, though.

San Fransisky Garlic Fries vs. The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim Indiana University of Pennsylvania—8:45pm CT ESPN+

The Fries won 7-2, as Yaz went 2-4 with a 2B and a run scored. Let’s all reflect on just how amazing he has been. And this is on a terrible team with no one protecting him in the lineup!
