Quick Recap of Last Night
Sonny Gray had his curve working, and cruised through 6 IP (3H, 1R, 2 BB, 9K) to lead the reds to a 7-1 stomping of the De2roit Tigers.
Dansby was 1-3, but that was about all the offense in this game. Mets won 1-0 on a Cespedes dinger.
The Buccos lost a close one to the Cards 5-4, and Bryan Reynolds had an 0-4 night.
The Dodgers stomped the Garlic Fries yet again (9-1 this time), and Yaz went 0-3 with a BB.
And if you stayed up late, you got to see former Vanderbilt commit Matt Olson walk it off with a grand slam in the 10th to give the A’s a 7-3 win over the Angels. With the lefty Andrew Heaney on the mound for the Angels, Kemp was on the bench, but he did come in to pinch run at one point.
Today’s Featured Games
Pittsburgh Pirates vs. St. Louis Cardinals—1:15pm CT MLBN
Bryan Reynolds looks to unleash the power of the stash and get his first hit of the season.
Colorado Rockies vs. Texas Rangers—3:05pm CT MLB.TV
2019 All Star Mike Minor is on the hill facing former top draft pick Jon Gray.
Miami Marlins vs. Philadelphia Phillies—3:05pm CT MLB.TV
Again, no Vanderbilt connection here, but I’ll be watching it. The Phillies continue to be the only team who loses to the Jeter Fish, as they went down 5-2 on opening day. Zach Wheeler looks to turn things around, and keep me from losing it.
San Fransisky Garlic Fries vs. LA Trolley Dodgers—3:10pm CT FOX
As Giants fans likely knew, this is fixin’ to be a long year. They’re 0-2 in two blowouts. Yaz has been pretty good, though.
Atlanta Braves vs. NY Mets—3:10pm CT MLB.TV
Don’t watch this game unless you have a crush on Dansby Swanson.
De2roit Tigers vs. Cin City Reds—4:10pm CT MLB.TV
Don’t watch this game unless you have a crush on Curt Casali.
