The hits just keep on coming.
On a podcast yesterday, Chris Lee at VandySports revealed that apparently Vanderbilt football’s locker rooms have not had air conditioning for a while. It is, of course, July in Nashville; the high temperature today is 96 degrees. And that may not even be the worst of it.
One of many issues. Kids aren’t being fed well and the shower situation is hit-and-miss from what I am told.

And it’s one thing to make the argument that this is about being competitive. Former basketball player Matthew Fisher-Davis went that route in a Twitter thread today:
Yall reall think vandy football will be competitive with the facilities they’re given? It’s like y’all want Mason to convince players to come stay in a Holiday Inn when they just visited a Four Seasons

...but problems with things like air conditioning and showers and food frankly makes Vanderbilt sound like the Fyre Festival of the Southeastern Conference. This is just very basic stuff being neglected by the university, because reasons.
Oh, yeah, and they still haven’t really said anything about that sexual assault accusation last month. You know, while we’re on the subject.
