Will Gordon got his PGA Tour card with a third-place finish at the Travelers yesterday.

We are now 68 days away from Vanderbilt football’s scheduled season opener against Mercer. #68 for the Commodores is offensive lineman Jason Brooks. The 6’4”, 285-pound true freshman comes to Vanderbilt by way of Dobie High School in Houston, Texas.

Former Vanderbilt golfer Will Gordon shot a 6-under par 64 in the final round of the Travelers Championshipearning him a third-place finish and a special temporary membership for the PGA Tour. (What does a “special temporary membership” mean? It’s basically the same thing as a PGA Tour card, but only for the remainder of this season, because he earned the equivalent to a Top 125 finish on last year’s money list.)

Some former Vanderbilt baseball players are taking advantage of the time off to finish up their degrees.
