In a new VandySports podcast, Chris Lee reported that Vanderbilt Closer Tyler Brown will return for the ‘21 season, no matter what happens in the draft.
Tyler Brown is returning for 2021, which makes an already-loaded pitching staff more loaded. We talk that and the VS 100 (football, baseball and hoops talk there) with @MitchLight in today's podcast: https://t.co/AXLIzVfAcT

Brown announced it on his Instagram account. Instagram, I am told, is a place where women share photos of their butts.
I don’t think I need to explain to you how huge this is. Though Brown scuffled in limited innings in the 2020 shortened season, he has been the best closer in college baseball for his Vanderbilt career.
Brown is the first Vanderbilt baseball player to take advantage of the extra year of eligibility. He will effectively have two years of eligibility remaining, but let’s not be greedy. By returning in ‘21, Brown can potentially finish his degree while maintaining the leverage of a normal college junior. It will be interesting to see who joins him for a run at the title defense in ‘21.
Yes, for this moment, you are allowed to be happy.
Now stay the fuck indoors. You’re going to want to be alive for the ‘21 season.
