Jerry Stackhouse added his third recruit of the 2020 class on Wednesday, and let’s just say that this will be fun if he turns into a star player in the black and gold.
3-Star C from Knoxville, Akeem Odusipe, commits to Vanderbilt per his instagram
— Justin Hershey (@justinhershey26) April 22, 2020
Odusipe will join Disu, Brown, Millora-Brown and Obinna in Vandy's frontcourt
With one roster spot available, Stack will turn his attention to Kerwin Walton's commitment on Saturday #AnchorDown
Akeem Odusipe is listed at 6’9” and 220 pounds, and per Rivals is ranked as the #23 center prospect in the Class of 2020. The 247 Sports composite ranks him #344 nationally and the #51 center prospect. Originally from Nigeria, Odusipe had been playing high school basketball in Knoxville, Tennessee. Did Tennessee have any interest in him? No.
As such, this has the potential to become extremely hilarious for us. “Recruit who played high school basketball in Knoxville and did not draw any interest from the University of Tennessee becomes star player at Vanderbilt” would just be so great that I can’t even fathom the greatness of it.
Here’s a highlight tape:
