The Vanderbilt Commodores have gone 9-1 on the current eleven-game homestand, which concludes today against the Central Arkansas Bears. In something of a surprise, sophomore Ethan Smith — 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA, 17 strikeouts and 3 walks in 12 innings — will get the call to start today against the Bears, after Jack Leiter got the Tuesday start in each of the previous two weeks. Make of that decision what you will.
Game time is 4:30 PM CT and the game can be seen on the SEC Network+. Anchor Down.
And yes, after the game, Andrew is probably going to turn this thread into a watch party for Super Tuesday results. Luckily, those of you who want nothing to do with that can hop into the basketball game thread.
You’re damn straight I’m turning this into a Super Tuesday watch party. Ain’t no party like a Super Tuesday watch party because a Super Tuesday watch party is filled with existential dread.
But first, the lineup:

A-Mart moved up to the Mike Trout 2 Hole. I see no reason to question it. Sabermetrics!
See you in the comments.
