Saben Lee averaged 18.6 points and 4.2 assists per game in 2019-20, and was the focal point of Vanderbilt’s offense after Aaron Nesmith was lost for the season. So, if you’re keeping score at home, a team that went 3-15 in the SEC had a player who will declare for the NBA Draft.
The good news, such as it is, is that Lee is apparently going to leave the door open for a return to Vanderbilt. But given how many juniors across the country have started forgoing their remaining eligibility so that they can go undrafted and play in the G-League, I’ll believe it when I see it.
